TaiG Download & Guide

The TaiG team has released a jailbreak tool for iOS 8.1.1; they also updated it to support iOS 8.1.2. The TaiG jailbreak tool was given a clean bill of health by many jailbreakers such as MuscleNerd from evad3rs team. He confirmed that TaiG jailbreak is safe and has no malware or spyware.

TaiG is an untethered jailbreak tool, supporting devices like iPhone 5, iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s that are running on iOS 8, as well as IOS 8.1, 8.1.1 and 8.1.2.

Prerequisites & Download

Before using TaiG to jailbreak your device, you have to know that it’s now available only for Windows users. Mac users have to run a virtual machine with Windows OS to do the jailbreak, or simply use a PC or a laptop with windows installed on it. You may also consider doing the following:

Backup all your data using iTunes or iCloud, the jailbreaking process has showed no problems in most cases, but it is never bad to play it safe; just in case anything goes wrong, it is pleasing to know that your stuff is safe and sound.

It’s also advised to disable any anti-virus or any other app that may block TaiG from accessing the internet.

Restore your iOS to version 8.1.2 using iTunes, even if you have done it via OTA.
Disable Lock Screen passcode and Touch ID. (Setting> General> Touch ID & Passcode: off)
Disable Find My iPhone. (Setting> iCloud> Find My iPhone)
Download and install the latest iTunes version.
Download the latest version of TaiG from here: Windows
Get your USB cable ready.

Installation

  • It’s a very simple process that any newbie can do it, just make sure that you have done all the mentioned above steps. You also have to be sure about jailbreaking your phone and have a few minutes to spare, as the process cannot be interrupted. Here we go:
    Install the previously downloaded app; make sure to run this exe as administrator. (right-click the exe> click on “Run as Administrator”
  • Connect your device using the USB cable.
  • Start the TaiG software, remove the check next to “3K Assistant” checkbox, and click the “Start” button.

TaiG will now detect your device and its iOS, and then start the jailbreak process. Make sure not to disconnect your device, it will reboot after the process is done, and you can find the latest Cydia version on your home screen. You are done and your device is now jailbroken.
