Rooting is a popular option for people who want unrestricted and total control over its system processes. It is quite rather a straightforward process, as it doesn’t really involve anything new or different from doing so other variants in general. But..
1. You should be running Android Jelly Bean (either 4.1.2 or 4.3).
2 We have said this time and time again, and still do so, to please make a backup of all your data to ensure no loss of personal, important information.
3. As always, make sure to have at least 80% battery charge and you have all the necessary USB drivers.
4. Also please enable USB debugging.
5. Once again, we are in no way liable to the damage that may occur to your device as a result of this procedure.
Here are the steps required to root Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean:
First and foremost, download Odin3 v3.09 on to your computer.
Unzip Odin, install and run the software.
Turn your device off and restart it in Download mode by pressing and holding down the Volume Down, Power and Home buttons together for a few seconds.
Connect to your computer using a USB cable. If successful, a prompt saying Added!! will be displayed in the Odin window.
Click on PDA and navigate your way to the CF-Auto-Root zip file downloaded previously in Step 2.
Before you proceed, be certain that Auto Reboot and F. Rest Time checkboxes are checked.
When everything is set, hit Start to get the process underway.
If the procedure is successful, a PASS prompt will be momentarily displayed on window.
As soon as the home screen once again shows up, proceed to disconnect from your computer.
