p0sixspwn is a jailbreak software that supports iOS 6.1.3, 6.1.4, 6.1.5 and 6.1.6 and it will perform an untethered jailbreak for the supported devices. It has both Mac OS and Windows releases.
The latest version of p0sixspwn (1.0.8) has many fixes for the iTunes 11.1+ crashing issues. Before p0sixspwn, you could have performed an untethered jailbreak for your device, but it would take you so much time and effort.
First you must perform a tethered jailbreak using Redsn0w, and then change the tethered jailbreak to an untethered one with the p0sixspwn package on Cydia. But now, just a few clicks and you are done; and with an untethered jailbreak already.
The 1.0.8 version of p0sixspwn is updated and has many error fixed to be compatible with iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c and iPhone 5. It can jailbreak your device in about 10 minutes, no struggle whatsoever.
What do I need to perform this untethered jailbreak?
A laptop or a computer with Windows (XP or higher), Mac (10.6 or higher)
Latest version of iTunes (for Windows users)
USB cable to connect your device to the laptop or PC
Installation:
Before you start with the process, make sure to backup your phone; just in case anything happiness. Your data will be safe and sound. Also download the latest version of p0sixspwn from here: Mac / Windows
Extract the p0sixspwn application from the compressed file to your desktop. (For windows users, please extract the p0sixspwn application file to desktop or c:\ drive. Do not open it from the compressed file, right-click the application file and choose “Run as Administrator”.
When the p0sixspwn window appears, it will ask you to connect your device.
After connecting your device and being detected, p0sixspwn will show your device type and the iOS version.
Click the “Jailbreak” button; wait till the process is done. Do not disconnect your device until you are prompted to do so.
After the last reboot, you are done. Your device is jailbroken; and you can find the Cydia icon in your app list.
Note:
After clicking the “jailbreak” button on p0sixspwn main window, you will see the processes as they happen on it. For example, you will see a message saying “Getting payload files from Apple”. Sometimes the process fails at this point, this means that there is a problem with your internet connection, be sure to be properly connected to the internet with a stable connection.
For windows users, if you are using Windows 8; you might experience some problems. To avoid this, right-click the p0sixspwn exe and choose properties, click the compatibility tab and check the “Run this program in compatibility mode for” ; then select Windows 7 from the drop-down list.
