How To Root HTC One (Without Computer)

Here is very quick and simple yet an effective way to access administration authorities in just a few minutes without any requirement of computer.

This tutorial is compatible with M7, M8 and M9 models running on latest official firmware. Do not try it with other models unless mentioned. Follow the steps carefully or else it may result in process failure.

Make sure to have at least 70% battery power to run a smooth uninterrupted process.

Step 1: In order to root HTC One without computer, the first thing you need to do is download a utility app called KingRoot. This includes all the files you are going to need.
Step 2: Now install it by opening a file explorer, navigating your download and then tapping on it. Or you can directly install it by opening the apk app from browser download section.
**Before you proceed, you might see a warning box that requires you to check and allow Unknown sources in Security option under Settings.
Step 3: After installation, check for the KingRoot icon in App Drawer. Open the app by tapping on it. The app will analyze and take a few seconds to find suitable root process.
Step 4: Once the app is done with analyzing and setting up process, a dialogue box will prompt on screen with ‘TRY TO ROOT’ or ‘START ROOT’ button at the bottom of the screen. Tap on the button to continue rooting.

Step 5: Now download the ROM manager app from Play Store and install it.
Step 6: Tap on Recovery Setup after successful installation of the app. Now go to Install or Update Recovery option and select ClockworkMod Recovery.
Step 7: Tap on Flash ClockworkMod Recovery that will appear on screen in a few seconds.
**The app will automatically download the recovery and will ask for Super-user permission. You will shortly receive a success message after you give permission to the app.
Step 8: Boot into ClockworkMod Recovery under ROM Manager main screen and click on Yes button that prompts on screen. Reboot device after it stops flashing.
