Before you can really begin with this HTC One SV root, you have to make sure that the Bootloader is unlocked.
Once that’s done, now enable the USB debugging option. To do that, go to your gadget’s Settings > Developer options > USB debugging. Make sure to tick the box to enable. Now plug your gadget to you PC again, and make sure it is detected by the PC.
Copy and paste the SuperSU zip file into your gadget’s SD card or internal storage. Do not extract. Leave it as it is. Also copy ClockworkMod Recovery, depending on which firmware you have for your Android gadget, and paste it in the Fastboot installation directory in your PC.
Unplug your gadget and enter HBOOT menu again as mentioned in the first step of BOOTLOADER UNLOCK. Select FASTBOOT.
Open command window on your PC as mentioned in BOOTLOADER UNLOCK Step 5. Then plug in your gadget again to your PC. Enter the command ‘flash recovery trecaf.img’ or ‘flash recovery trecovery.img’ in the command window. After that, enter ‘fastboot erase cache’. This will do the recovery flashing for your gadget.
Once the recovery flashing is done, you will still be directed to the HBOOT menu FASTBOOT on your gadget. Select BOOTLOADER to go back to the HBOOT MENU. You can now see a ‘RECOVERY’ option. Select it and you will be able to enter Recovery Mode. If your gadget restarted and booted up for no reason, just restart it, enter HBOOT menu and select RECOVERY again.
Inside the Recovery Mode, choose to install, locate and select the SuperSU zip file you transferred a while ago. This will finally flash root on your gadget. Wait for the flashing process on your gadget to be finished, and that’s it! You successfully rooted your HTC One SV!
Just to remind you, if ever, you are still under warranty, it will be voided after the unlocking of the Bootloader. Unrooting and the locking of your bootloader will bring back warranty.
